LAUNCH Certificate Program

Regulatory Affairs

Regulation directs the work research, development and manufacturing of biotech operations in order to ensure the safety and viability of biomedical, biotechnical and pharmaceutical products. This program provides an individual with a comprehensive and balanced knowledge of U.S. federal regulations.

The program consists of four courses offered in an online environment and may be completed in as few as six months. UCSD students receive a substantial discount through Extension's Complimentary Enrollment Program.

NOTE: Preparatory courses are taken at the discretion of the student. Fees for those classes are the student's responsibility.

Program Information

Preparatory Knowledge

Courses in this program use terms and phrases associated with microbiology extensively. Students who have a working familiarity with these terms will be able to absorb and deal with the content more readily. Basic microbiology courses are offered through a variety of online providers and local colleges.

To Enroll in the Certificate Program

Application and acceptance to the Launch program must be completed before enrolling in this certificate program. The LAUNCH program is open to UCSD Undergraduates only. Individuals interested in the program who are not current UCSD undergraduates are encouraged to pursue Extension's professional or specialized certificate programs.

Includes tuition fees for the courses in the program, the certificate fee, career counseling and 1-year student membership in a professional association. (Textbooks and other course related materials are not included in the program fee)
