LAUNCH Certificate Program

Patent Law and Protection

Intellectual assets have become the lifeblood of most companies in our new knowledge-based economy. This program provides individuals with a thorough understanding of the legal protections for patents as well as the procedures and considerations needed to define and safeguard. Courses focus on the development of the skills necessary to assist in researching and developing potential opportunities while protecting corporate patents from future conflicts.

The program consists of five courses, which may be completed in one academic year. UCSD students receive a substantial discount through Extension's Complimentary Enrollment Program.

NOTE: Preparatory courses are taken at the discretion of the student. Fees for those classes are the student's responsibility.
