UnderGraduate and Graduate Learning Opportunities

UC San Diego offers numerous opportunities for motivated learners to purse an education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Enrollment periods vary throughout the year. Choose from among these options:

Complimentary Enrollment

Through a reciprocal arrangement with the University, UC San Diego Extension offers a limited number of complimentary enrollments to full-time UCSD students, who may enroll in one course. Each quarter (with the exception of summer), full-time UC San Diego students can pick up a Complimentary Enrollment voucher, good for up to $270 (students pay anything over that amount). Undergraduate students may obtain a Complimentary Enrollment voucher by presenting a valid student identification on the designated comp enrollment dates at the Extension Student Services Center.

Graduate students and medical students, please contact OGSR and the School of Medicine for their complimentary vouchers.

Concurrent Enrollment

Opening the door to one of the world’s top research universities, concurrent enrollment permits individuals to experience undergraduate and graduate courses at UC San Diego. Concurrent Enrollment is administered through UCSD Extension in collaboration with UCSD’s academic departments. Admittance is subject to faculty approval.

Master of Advanced Studies (MAS)

Bringing together the most advanced knowledge and presentation formats, the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) is a fully accredited, graduate degree for professionals, conferred by the UC San Diego. Under a UC statewide project, the MAS degree credential was introduced to expand career potential and bring academic rigor to professionals in various fields.

LAUNCH

Undergraduates can jumpstart their transition into the workplace with LAUNCH-a new educational offering designed by UCSD Extension. Ambitious students earn a certificate in their field of choice while working with an expert career coach to help land a job upon graduation.
