The core coursework covers strategic planning, operational structure, performance measurement and assessment, policy and governance and data literacy concepts. Through a combination of theoretical studies, practical exercises, peer engagement, and case study analyses, students learn to develop, implement, and evaluate strategies that foster institutional effectiveness practices.

During the three-course program, students will access data and evidence-based approaches to identify areas of opportunity and improvement towards the development and implementation of strategic plans to address these areas effectively. Another key component of the program is the emphasis on ethical leadership, social responsibility, and social justice to ensure that completers are prepared to make decisions that are not only effective but also aligned with the values and mission of their institution.

The program is designed to be flexible, allowing working professionals to complete it on a part-time basis. Completers of this certificate program often emerge as strategic thinkers with enhanced capabilities in leadership, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking, poised to make significant contributions to the students and institutions they serve.
