Center for Global Volunteer Service Staff
Emily Loui is the Manager of the Service and Civic Leadership department at UC San Diego Extension. She has recently volunteered and travelled to numerous countries including Ghana, Kenya, India, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Guatemala, New Zealand, Fiji, Japan, China, Thailand, Panama, Costa Rica, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Argentina, Chile, United Emirates and many more. The types of service projects Emily has developed or participated with range from public health, microfinance, education, women empowerment, sustainability, public policy, animal conservation and historical preservation. She has lead over 20 volunteer trips on five continents and is responsible for developing trips and projects for the Center for Global Volunteer Service. Emily is certified in Wilderness Medicine and holds a certification to instruct Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. Emily is a UC Davis alumnus and studied physical therapy.

Brandon Chavez is the Marketing Manager for UC San Diego Extension's Public Service Cluster, which includes the CGVS, Healthcare, Education and OSHA Training Institute Education Center. After graduating from UC Santa Barbara, he has held different positions in advertising agencies and companies across Southern California. Brandon is also a member of the San Diego County Football Officials Association & the Southern California Collegiate Football Officials Association.
