Organized service can be a valuable method of teaching, learning, and changing the lives of those who serve. The Center for Global Volunteer Service™ is a resource for schools, companies and community organizations that want to incorporate service into their existing curriculum or professional/member development efforts. Our staff and affiliates are experts at employing service-learning principles to achieve any development objective.

Custom Learning Opportunities

Service opportunities, local or international, can be arranged by CGVS to meet your development goals. Examples of competencies to build or attitudes to influence include:

• Problem-solving, creativity, and resourcefulness
• Cross-cultural sensitivity (including age and gender differences)
• Working in teams, and interpersonal skill development
• Planning and project management
• Personal development planning and management
• Application of specific technical/professional skills in a resource-limited setting
