HR Leadership Program

UCSD Extension's HR Leadership program is designed to accelerate the career advancement of HR professionals who are positioning themselves for more strategic roles. Candidates for the program should be currently employed in an HR management position.

The program features interactive presentations by senior HR professionals who share case studies and lessons learned. The content is based on research done by Dr. Dave Ulrich, author of "Human Resource Champions," and the Society for Human Resource Management.

Over the course of 13 weekly sessions, participants will:

• Gain insights about their leadership style
• Develop a Strategic HR Action Plan tailored to their company's unique needs
• Create a personal/professional development plan
• Learn new ideas that can be applied immediately in the workplace
• Acquire access to a new network of contacts and resources

To promote cross-industry learning, every effort is made to select participants from varying backgrounds. The class is kept purposely small to foster close interaction with other participants, faculty and guest speakers.
