Strategic IT For Business Certificate

There has been a fundamental shift in the structure and value system of the information technology industry in the United States over the past few years. IT has become a key factor in strategic enterprise planning and management in high tech industries. Understanding the strategic value of IT systems and how to operate and govern in this environment is now the daunting challenge.

The Strategic IT for Professionals Certificate Program will enlighten the business professionals that staying ahead of the competition means staying up-to-date on IT.

Information technology has become a strategic asset that strengthens organizational decision-making and competitive advantage. The program focuses on exposing the participants to the means of becoming effective managers of information technology, with the ability to evaluate the benefits of emerging trends and apply them strategically in the business environment. It will highlight the strategic value of IT in the business, the methodologies for effectively leveraging these values, and the advantages derived by those business professionals who understand these values and methodologies.

The program will focus on three underlying components:

  • Consistent alignment of IT activities with the overall business goals and strategy
  • Deployment of supporting process that delivers effective governance
  • Awareness of technology trends and implementation of new technologies that provide meaningful competitive differentiation.
