Healthcare Leadership Certificate

The Healthcare Leadership Program is the foundation for UCSD Extension's Specialized Certificate in Healthcare Leadership. It addresses the need to provide health industry professionals with critical knowledge and skills to be effective managers and leaders in today's complex healthcare environment. This interactive, executive-level program is designed to enhance the experience and/or technical expertise of healthcare professionals from a variety of backgrounds, giving them a common understanding of the principles by which the healthcare industry conducts business.
The program was designed and developed by a broad cross-section of leading healthcare organizations in the San Diego region. Class sessions are conducted in a relaxed, interactive environment.
The program features: * A faculty comprised of a team of experienced healthcare practitioners and business leaders * Content that revolves around a pragmatic approach to curriculum, incorporating current thinking and trends * A classroom experience that provides the opportunity to network with other healthcare professionals across diverse areas of expertise. This program can also be expanded into the Leadership of Healthcare Organizations Master's Degree. Certificate Guidelines

The curriculum is delivered in three independent modules referred to as the Healthcare Leadership Program, all three are required to earn the specialized certificate. Students may take the modules in any order:

* Business Skills (Fall Quarter)
* Management Skills (Spring Quarter)
* Politics & Public Policy (Winter Quarter)
