UC San Diego Extension Certificate Programs

Film Crew

Video and Editing Certificate

UC San Diego Extension Digital Arts Center video production training includes the principles of storytelling, videography, motion graphics and audio. Today, a knowledgeable multimedia student has the power to create motion film titles and trailers, video, graphics and sound for TV, and corporate media, commercials for TV, radio and interactive media--all from a desktop or laptop computer.

Students will complete a series of projects developing rich media content, illustrating the history, current activities and future aspirations of non-profit organizations with podcasts, flash animations, streaming video of interviews and a mini-documentary. Completing these video production projects allows students to develop a valuable working portfolio while obtaining practical experience in real-world situations.
