Systems engineering is a well-developed body of knowledge, techniques, and methodologies in general use throughout technically complex industries. Its goal is the efficient production of high-quality products that meet the requirements of customers. All aspects of the process--from initial definition of mission requirements to test, verification, and fabrication of the product--must be carefully planned and executed. The Systems Engineering Professional Certificate presents systems engineering techniques that participants can apply to a wide range of industries. The certificate program is comprised of five required courses, focusing on the principles of systems engineering management, system requirement analysis, concept development, and system integration and verification, plus nine units of electives. Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a Professional Certificate in Systems Engineering, proving that they are knowledgeable in the concepts and techniques presented and have hands-on experience in applying them.
