IGDA San Diego Meeting sponsored by UC San Diego Extension Digital Arts Center. For July’s meeting, we will be joined by Noel Llopis, a game industry veteran turned indie game developer. He believes that games do not have to rely on violence, and can, instead, encourage creativity and sharing. His latest games include Casey's Contraptions and Flower Garden, both for iOS platforms. He writes regularly about game development on his web site Games from Within (http://gamesfromwithin.com). He has also written several books on game development and he is a frequent contributor to Game Developer Magazine. Noel earned an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a B.S. in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
