UCSD Extension's English Language Institute (ELI) offers a wide range of academic and professional development courses. Emphasis is placed on research and business writing, conversation and oral presentation, and grammar and vocabulary. Our courses are intended for non-native speakers who want to refine their fluency and communication skills, while acquiring a better understanding of American culture through everyday personal experiences.
