The Education department at UC San Diego Extension provides integrated professional development for school communities and educational institutions while incorporating best practices and the latest research in content, pedagogy, andragogy, and administration.
Our wide array of courses, certificates, and state-approved credentials are designed to prepare practitioners for the challenges and opportunities inherent in the modern classroom. These courses are available on campus, on-site, and online and have been approved by most school districts for salary-scale advancement.
Although most students finish their certificate programs within one year, all required and elective coursework must be completed within 5 years of beginning a certificate program.
