The Education department at UC San Diego Extension provides integrated professional development for school communities and educational institutions while incorporating best practices and the latest research in content, pedagogy, andragogy, and administration.
We work closely with the Department of Education Studies at UC San Diego (EDS) in developing a wide array of courses, certificates, and state-approved credentials designed to prepare educators for reflective practice in increasingly diverse classrooms, focusing on issues of equity and excellence. The Education Department also collaborates with other campus entities to provide cutting-edge programming to practitioners locally, nationally and across the globe.
