Designed for advanced students who have fulfilled most certificate requirements, this course focuses on examining a variety of traditional & contemporary illustration styles, and completing a series of assignments that focus on style development and result in a series of images for students' portfolios.

Do you have a story that you'd like to illustrate and submit for publication? Or do you dream of pursuing a career in illustration? If you would like to polish your illustration style, develop or expand your portfolio, and/or create professional children's book proposals, this class is for you.

In-class Format: 10 weeks long, with 6 in-class meetings to attend throughout self-directed work at home.
Online Format: Similarly structured, for the online setting.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of at least Children's Book Illustration I: Thinking in Pictures (ART-40634) and Children's Book Illustration II: Focus on Style (ART-40635).

This course is a Recommended Prerequisite for: Getting Published: Navigating the Children's Book Market.
