This course was developed to educate team leaders, supervisors, and managers in the real-life application of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). It is designed to assist the student in achieving an effective Injury and Illness Prevention Program by addressing the eight core elements of the IIPP: Responsibility, Compliance, Communication, Hazard Recognition, Hazard Correction, Accident Investigation, Training and Recordkeeping. An integral part of this program focuses on real-life scenarios and facilitated discussions on Hazard Recognition and Hazard Correction, which include: fall protection, ladders, scaffolds, multi-employer work sites, health hazards, hazard communication, confined spaces, PPE, electrical hazards and excavation.
