Risk Points

You have completed a manuscript (or are close to doing so) and you’re planning to market it to literary agents. At present, many agents are rejecting as much as ninety-nine percent of the projects that come across their desks. You need an edge, something that will ensure your manuscript is given the consideration it deserves. Beginning with the opening of your novel, the narrative hook, there are a number of key points where you run the risk of losing your reader. This workshop offers tips on strengthening these areas in order to minimize that risk. In addition, risk points that precede the manuscript itself (the cover letter, synopsis, and more) but are critical to interesting the agents will be addressed.
