Playwriting in a Flash

Have an idea for a play but don't know where to start? Whether you have a finished or half-finished play, or are simply interested in learning more about theatrical writing, we offer a quick yet thorough overview of playwriting techniques as well as an opportunity to discuss your own work. If you do not wish to share your work, learn by critiquing the work of fellow-students and exploring the best examples of classical and contemporary playwriting. Topics covered will include: Creating Characters, Structuring Plot, and Crafting Compelling Stories.

Note: Please feel free to bring a couple pages of dialogue, an outline, or character work to class.
