Investigative Poetics: Connections
Shape narrative poems by investigating connections to the body and mind. Poet Charles Olson said history is a complex organism in which an individual connects to his locale through "what he knows, what he really knows." Poetry that is part documentary, part imagination, and part biography helps us map some of our greatest personal stories. In this two-day workshop you will shape narrative poems through in-class exercises, discussion and by looking into what you really know.
Note: Open to writers of all levels.
