A Simple Guide to the Writing Life

If you want to write fiction, the first step is to start writing. You don't have to know the beginning, middle and end of a piece; you don't even have to know what you want to write. However, if you want to be a writer who writes, you must take that first step and this lively, inspiring course will teach you how. Within the friendly setting of like-experienced writers, you will learn to practice the craft of writing through in-group exercises and discussion. You will learn: how to get started and keep going, the ten daily habits that make a good writer, what stuck looks like and how to get unstuck, and how to tell when the critic, censor, or editor is present and what to do about it. Learn to name yourself "writer" and be part of a writing community.
