Advanced Screenwriting Workshop: Read and Critique
The opportunity to have your peers read and discuss each others' work in a supportive environment is a cornerstone of the writing community, and is the first, crucial step on the path to getting your work to the marketplace. Take the time to focus on a current project, as well as provide constructive feedback to your fellow screenwriters, in this advanced screenwriting workshop. There will be a short discussion and some examples in the beginning of class on genre, plot, dialogue subtext, and business, but the majority of class time is devoted to getting your story working and your script closer to finished, or your finished script polished for the marketplace. You are expected to bring copies for the class of new or rewritten pages to share each week.
Note: Bring 15 pages of your script to the first class meeting.
