Consecutive Interpretation: Theory & Practice
This course offers the opportunity to apply consecutive interpretation techniques in a variety of settings. Topics are generalized and emphasis is placed on enhancing listening performance and note-taking skills. Each student must bring four Mini DVRs (any brand, i.e. Memorex) to the second class meeting.
Note: prerequisites: Successful completion of the Entrance Exam and "Introduction to Translation and Interpretation" (LING-4A002). Requirement for the Professional Certificate in Translation and Interpretation (Spanish/English). Each student should bring a Mini dvd-r (any brand, i.e. Memorex) to the second class meeting.
Other Credit: 5 points of ATA Continuing Education in Category A.
