Carla Roemer received her B.F.A degree from Parsons School of Design in New York City and Paris. She also studied art history at the University of Heidelberg in Germany and then went on to work as a producer for the product and digital media design company, frog design in Dusseldorf, Germany. Since moving to San Diego in 2005 Romer has worked with Lux Art Institute as a gallery educator and instructor, researching and applying strategies to integrate art and education. She developed the art program for a North County School District from conception to training parent docents. In 2012 Roemer started Artvark Studios where she holds art & writing and creative thinking workshops.
