Kristy Schadt is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been in private practice in Simi Valley since 1996. She works with adults, children and families who are dealing with life issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma or grief. She is a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and has extensive training in Sandtray Therapy and Trauma Therapy. Schadt is also a Somatic Experience Practictioner and is additionally trained in EMDR.
Schadt is the director of counseling for the Free Clinic of Simi Valley and has spent the last 10 years developing and teaching training programs for interns and trainees interested in utilizing play therapy. Supporting her training as a supervisor is AAMFT and CAMFT Approved Supervisor Status. In addition, she was on staff at Moorpark Community College teaching child development classes for 18 years.
