Daniel W. Park is a graduate of Yale Law School and is the chief campus counsel for UC San Diego. Before joining UC San Diego, he worked in the firm of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton. Park provides legal advice, retains outside counsel, manages litigation, reviews university policies and works closely with other administrative offices to ensure legal compliance and to respond to disputes. He is experienced in complex litigation, negotiation of contracts and licenses, intellectual property, commercial contracts, the First Amendment and business litigation. He is the author of "The Legal Mind: How the Law Thinks," an introduction to how the law and legal system approach and resolve disputes.
