Emily Wallace received her Bachelor degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. While attending Arizona State University, she was accepted by the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College into the prestigious Rodel Foundation of Arizona. The foundation and its teachers work and invest to improve educational opportunities for students with limitless ability but limited opportunity. Emily has taught for 18 years and is currently teaching at Viejas Tribal Education Center, working with kindergarten and first-grade students on the Viejas reservation. She has taught Montessori curriculum, STEAM, kindergarten-middle school grades, literacy specialist support and in homeless schools. She currently serves as a parent volunteer at her Catholic church. She also volunteered as an art teacher at fine arts schools. Last summer Emily taught at the Sally Ride Science camps. Her courses “Edible Science: Science You Can Eat,” and “Trash to Treasure: Upcycling at its Best,” were well-attended and thoroughly enjoyed by fourth- and fifth-grade students.
