Jessica Quinn has been an ESL instructor for the English Language Institute (ELI) at UC San Diego Extension since June 2011. She attended UCLA and San Diego State University, where she earned a master's in applied linguistics, before beginning her career teaching at several community colleges and intensive English programs in the San Diego area. She has taught ESL in California and abroad at all levels and in all skill areas, including reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as grammar, vocabulary and test preparation. In addition to her experience teaching ESL, Quinn has worked with native and non-native English-speaking children in both professional and volunteer capacities. She has created curricula for classroom use, book club materials, and tutor-training guides, and she enjoys volunteering in her local community.
