Juan earned an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing and Analytics from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management. He also holds a BA from Grand Canyon University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Juan is currently an instructor for the Consumer Finance program on the Viejas Indian Reservation and teaches Elements of Marketing, Organizational Behavior and Business Decision Making courses for the Futures program at the UC San Diego Extension.
Juan is employed at TD Ameritrade Institutional in San Diego, California. He currently hold the FINRA Series 7, 63 and SIE, and has a professional-level understanding of the financial services industry. Juan previously worked for Costco Wholesale, where he touched almost every aspect of operations. He served four years as an active duty member of the US Air Force, where he worked as an avionics technician on the F-15e.
Juan spends most of his free time with his family, but also enjoys art. He is a cover illustrator for the Child of Magic series written by T.N. Hayden. Juan loves dogs and dog breeds and prefer to watch the AKC dogs show over football on Thanksgiving Day. He is a proud father of two children Amaya and Elias. Juan's wife is a stay-at-home mom and the backbone of our family.
