Kathryn de Bruin
MFT, AAMFT


Kathryn de Bruin is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned a bachelor's degree in social work before beginning her work experience in a privat practice in South Africa. It was there that she facilitated preventative programs in schools and practived child therapy. Ms. de Bruin spent two years in Germany before moving to San Diego. Having lived in various countries, experiencing and working with different types of people, she feels better equipped to relate to and counsel individuals dealing with life changes and challenges.

Ms. de Bruin has a passion to empower individuals and families to attain a higher standard of functioning. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a registered Play Therapist Supervisor and an Emotionally Focused Therapy Supervisor. She works in a private practice and is an instructor at Bethel Seminary, where she earned her master’s degree. She is also a supervisor for the Alliant Couple and Family Clinic and an AAMFT supervisor.
