Laura Handy-Dineen


Laura Handy Dineen, MHA, CRCR, has over thirty years of experience in the healthcare arena with a primary focus on the revenue cycle, 15 years of that experience in academic settings.  Her experience spans both the medical delivery and the payer sides of the industry and in addition to revenue cycle has worked in information technology, managed care contracting and finance.
Laura is currently the Executive Director of System Revenue Cycle for UC San Diego Health where she is responsible for revenue cycle operations for the medical centers and the clinical practice organization.  Included in those responsibilities are Patient Access, Health Information Management, Coding and Revenue Integrity/Chargemaster, Clinical Research Billing, Accounts Receivable Management for Hospital and Physician Accounts, Patient Billing, and Revenue Cycle Continuous Improvement.
Laura earned her bachelor’s degree in Management and Biology from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland, and her masters in Health Services Administration from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
Laura is a Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCR) through the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
