Matthew Weinstock is a scientist at Synthetic Genomics where he is currently leading a team of seven researchers in the Synthetic Systems & DNA Technologies group focusing on large-scale genome engineering of novel organisms for biotech applications. He earned his Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Utah, focusing on discovery and development of mirror-image peptide therapeutics for emerging infectious diseases.
