Melinda Barnadas is a student in UC San Diego’s Visual Arts MFA program. She is a co-artist and co-founder of the international art entity, Collective Magpie. “Magpie” has produced synergistic public art works and events in a broad range of integrated media aimed at inspiring interaction and wonder in galleries and public spaces throughout North America. Barnadas’ education includes earning her BFA in painting/art and technology from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Visual Arts Studies in Regional History at Universidad de las Américas, Puebla, Mexico.
