Sandra Murray (Sandy) is a Master’s Degree prepared Registered Nurse, and an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She has also earned an additional Bachelor of Science degree in Maternal Child Health, specializing in Human Lactation. As a devout champion of breastfeeding support and education, Sandy has spent the last 9+ years serving mother/baby dyads by assisting them to meet their breastfeeding and infant care goals.
Sandy currently leverages more than 9 years’ experience in providing in-depth and customized maternal/child education and care in the inpatient, outpatient, community, and virtual settings. She has provided lactation care in the neonatal ICU, cardiac ICU, pediatric step-down units, and with healthy mother/baby dyads. She ran a three-day-a-week community breastfeeding support group helping to close the gap between inpatient care, and the long-term support mothers need to succeed in meeting their infant feeding and care goals. She also provides virtual consultations and education to help support prenatal and postpartum families whenever and wherever the need arises.
Together with her husband, Jason, she is raising her three sons in a rural area of northeastern Ohio. Sandy enjoys cooking, reading, and cozy blankets. On most evenings you can find her cuddled up on the couch reading a book while her husband and three boys wrestle (loudly!) on the living room floor.
