Shanell Leggins holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Educational Psychology, MA in Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services Credential, BA in Sociology with a minor in Psychology, and a College Counseling certificate.
Dr. Leggins has worked in the field of education for 20+ years and as a counselor for over 15 years. Her counseling experience spans from public, private, domestic, and abroad. She currently works as a college counselor at a K-12 international full-IB school. She also serves on the College Counseling Advisory Board for UCLA Extension, where she has worked as an instructor for nearly 5 years. Prior to moving abroad, she was a freshman application reader (for 10 consecutive years) at UCLA Undergraduate Admissions.
She is a member of National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), International Association for College Admission Counseling, and was formerly a member of Western Association of College Admission Counseling (WACAC). Dr. Leggins is an active volunteer and currently serves on various committees within her professional affiliations including, NACAC, International ACAC, Cialfo, CIS-EARCOS, and International School Services (ISS).
