Thomas Kaido is a senior research scientist at The Banck Research Center. His interests include mast cell differentiation and the role of mast cells in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis. He has also worked with embryonic stem cells to examine how extracellular matrix proteins and integrins influence the development and differentiation of insulin-producing cells.
