Dr. Nguyen earned his Bachelor degree at Cal Poly Pomona, Master and PhD degrees at UCI, all in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He has been working in Aerospace and Defense industry for 20 years as a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) engineer. In this role, he is responsible for designing, implementing, and testing GNC algorithms for various air vehicles; ranging from manned, unmanned aircraft (UAV) to missiles. MATLAB/Simulink is the main tool that Dr. Nguyen uses in his daily tasks. Dr. Nguyen is also the lead of MATLAB/Simulink Community of Practice at his workplace, representing almost 2000 MATLAB/Simulink users. In this role, he is responsible for coordinating knowledge sharing, providing helps, and running and organizing MATLAB/Simulink training sessions, internally or with The Mathworks company
