Yeshi Mikyas, Ph.D. has 12 years of experience in medical writing in the pharmaceutical industry. She has been involved in writing a range of documents for medical communications—regulatory, safety and publications. She is passionate about empowering and encouraging medical writers to be strong effective partners within their teams.
She currently is the director of medical communication at MedImmune (a wholly owned subsidiary of AstraZeneca). In her previous roles, she has held positions at Amgen and Baxter/Baxalta (acquired by Shire).
Dr. Mikyas is a member of the American Medical Writer’s Association (AMWA), the Drug Information Association (DIA), the International Society of Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) and Editors in the Life Sciences (ELS).
Dr. Mikyas holds a BS in biology and a PhD in molecular and medical pharmacology, both from University of California Los Angeles.
