This class focuses on the development of effective oral presentation skills specifically for the business environment for non-native English speakers. Students will learn the skills necessary to prepare and deliver business presentations and prepare for and lead business meetings, focusing on selection of appropriate speech content, visual aids, body language, and pronunciation. Students will listen to their classmates as they give their presentations and provide both written and oral feedback. Students who plan to go to graduate school in the U.S. or who plan to use English in a business or conference setting will benefit most from this course.
NOTE: This course is an English as a Second Language (ESL) course designed for English language learners. If you are looking for professional and career development, please look at Presentation Skills for Business (BUSA-40923), which is designed for business professionals and native English speakers.
IMPORTANT: Students must have an advanced-level English language level to take this course. Students will be required to take an English language proficiency exam before the course begins.
