Students who plan to go to graduate school in the U.S. or who desire to communicate effectively and succinctly in both personal and business environments would benefit from this class. This class focuses on the development of effective negotiation and debate skills in both casual and formal environments. Students will learn the skills necessary to give their opinions and support them with facts and research. Students will listen to their classmates as they present their arguments and provide both written and oral feedback on the debates they hear. This class will help students improve their ability to listen, think critically, negotiate, and respond quickly to arguments and ideas.
IMPORTANT: Students must have an advanced-level English language level to take this course. Students will be required to take an English language proficiency exam before the course begins.
