This differentiated Elementary Community of Practice is designed for grades 3-6 educators to explore strategies and resources focused on diverse learners. Beginning this summer, participants will engage in both synchronous and asynchronous learning. This community is designed to support both new and experienced AVID Elementary 3-6 teachers in blending Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization and Reading (WICOR) with digital strategies to prepare students with the skills needed to become independent learners and be college- and career-ready. Educators will gain an understanding of their role in an AVID Schoolwide system that provides differentiated instruction to students in both a face-to-face and blended environment to build a culture of student success. Throughout the school year, elementary educators will engage with colleagues to deepen and broaden learning through activities, discussions, and On-Demand Learning opportunities.
