The AVID Discover: Digital Teaching & Learning Community of Practice brings educators together to experience and explore digital strategies and resources. Participants will engage in learning and knowledge creation cycles of frontload, immerse, debrief, and apply through collaboration, communication, and choice. Content will include an emphasis on the use of digital notetaking to support learning, best practices for teaching in a blended learning environment, and essential digital citizenship topics grounded in supporting students and educators navigating the current digital world. Participants will be supported with best-practice pedagogy, resources, and guidance on how to use technology to facilitate student learning and engagement, and will leave with a toolkit full of new teaching strategies that can be implemented immediately.
