Paula Soder Finnegan - Director of Talent Acquisition and Data Analytics at UC San Diego

As Director of Talent Acquisition and Data Analytics with Campus Human Resources, Paula strives to provide services and programs that are designed to recruit and retain top talent, and diversify our workforce in support of the teaching, research and public service mission of UC San Diego. Paula believes in building community and fostering compassion and authenticity at work. She recognizes that as human beings in the workplace, we make decisions, and respond to demands and opportunities in the context of all aspects of our lives. If we are able to connect the meaning of our work to the greater context of our lives we can experience our jobs as generally more meaningful, valuable, and worthwhile.

Paula holds a PhD in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development with specialty in Human Resource Development, an MS in Industrial and Employee Relations, as well as SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications. 

Kim Ayoub  - Director, Temporary Employment Services at UC San Diego

Kim Ayoub is a San Diego native and has been employed at UC San Diego for over 30 years. She began working while she was a student enrolled at UCSD and then as a temporary employee within the Temporary Employment Services office, where she was hired into a permanent position in 1990. Kim was able to grow and develop in her position within Temporary Employment Services, eventually advancing into her current role, Director of Temporary Employment, Executive Recruitment and Talent Support Services. Kim developed and implemented the Live Scan Background Check, Reference Checks and Online Skills Assessment programs and recently acquired Executive Recruitment Services, which contributed over $18 Million dollars in revenue generated this year to assist Human Resources in supporting and delivering programs to the campus. Kim continues to serve in her role due to her passion in helping individuals find quality positions and develop their career path along with being able to use her entrepreneurial spirit to improve the quality of human resources services.
