The right community allies can advance your organization’s mission and impact. In this course you will learn about the various avenues in which corporations choose to align themselves with the community. We will explore corporate philanthropy, sponsorships, and other ways to grow partnerships. Learn how to identify potential corporate partners and develop long-lasting relationships that are mutually beneficial. At the end of this course, you will have the tools to develop strong corporate partnerships that can take your organization to the next level.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able to
- Research and identify prospective corporate partners
- Create opportunities to cultivate prospective partners
- Build partnerships that benefit both the nonprofit and the corporate partner
- Steward and maintain partnerships for the long-term

As Chief Advancement Officer for Girl Scouts San Diego, Liz oversees all marketing & communications initiatives as well as philanthropic partnerships. She and her team work hard to inspire members of our community to get involved in the important Girl Scout Movement.
Her entire career has been in service to others, and has always included programs that empower young people. She has worked in marketing and development for more than 20 years, helping organizations grow their impact through community engagement.
Liz has worked in public special education, hospice and hunger relief. Prior to joining Girl Scouts San Diego, she was vice president of development for the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank.
