Landscape Architects and Engineers have a unique opportunity to infuse progressive stormwater management ideas into site planning and design projects throughout the San Diego region. Unfortunately, many projects are impaired by an apparent lack of cross-disciplinary dialogue and limited or unclear understanding of each discipline’s interests towards stormwater management. This course provides a bridge between the two disciplines by clarifying reason, intent, and method of each to ultimately create an enhanced and efficient design development process.

Topics May Include:

  • Stormwater regulations and how they impact site design and planning
  • Stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) and explore intent, effectiveness and longevity/durability
  • Fundamental engineering calculations necessary to ensure a project meets or exceeds the necessary regulatory requirements

Who Should Attend?
This course is intended for those working in the site design and planning professions: Landscape Architects, Civil Engineers, Architects, Planners, Regulatory Staff, etc.
