During this one-day workshop, educators examine STEM Modules on Earth’s climate and climate change impacts developed by Sally Ride Science. Each module presents engaging lesson plans based on the 5E model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate) and aligned to NGSS and CCSS. Participants will perform hands-on activities, hear from content experts and tour the new Birch Aquarium exhibit: Expedition at Sea: R/V Sally Ride Gallery. After the training, participants will gain access to the Sally Ride Science modules for immediate use in their classrooms.

  • NOTE  The workshop is intended for Teachers of grades 3–8.

    Participants who are interested in receiving Professional Development credit for the workshop, will need to follow up with the instructor Dr. Karen Flammer day of the event.
