Picking up where the HTML5 and Javascript course left off, this course introduces jQuery, a popular Javascript library. Connections will be made between the functionality offered by jQuery and how it differs from JavaScript and when to use each. Asynchronous development using both JavaScript’s XMLHttpRequest and jQuery’s Ajax models will be introduced. External API’s and RESTful services will also be taught. Students will use jQuery to access API’s and parse data in a project.

Note: Prerequisite is HTML5 and Javascript or equivalent knowledge.
