Today the system is much more complex and involves integrated systems of healthcare organizations, expanding government regulation, a growing uninsured population, advancing technology, pharmaceutical companies, and a wide range of financing mechanisms. Introduction to U.S. Healthcare covers all of this and more, breaking down every segment of the U.S. healthcare system into clear and basic concepts. This course will provide a fundamental understanding of the vast and complicated U.S. system. Students considering graduate study in the Leadership of Healthcare Organizations’ master’s degree program should consider taking this course as an orientation.
