Marine Spatial Planning: Design, Process, and Tools

This is the second course in the Maldives Blue Prosperity Training Program. Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) requires an elaborate process that leverages stakeholder participation and science-based information and tools to achieve a vision of ocean management. This course will lead participants through the process of defining that vision, with measurables goals and objectives using real-world case studies as a guide. Using web-based tools, participants will also begin the process of data collection and evaluation, zoning scenario development and analysis and participatory planning.

The course is intended for policymakers and technical staff from government and NGOs.
