This course is a hands-on continuation of the Processing Actionable Data in Genomics course. Students will gain advanced practice processing genomics data and distilling biomedical information. They will work with the instructor on course projects dedicated to High-Performance Computing (HPC), RNA sequencing analysis, metagenomics, phylogenomics, and immune repertoire sequencing with an advanced capstone project. As with the introductory course, there is a heavy focus on UNIX agility and coding with weekly processing assignments to solidify learning.
