This course introduces formal Project Management techniques and applies them to biotechnology projects.  You will learn the foundational skills and best practices for successful project management and gain an overview of how project management fits into the biotech work environment.  Gain an understanding of the lifecycle of projects and the skills, tasks and issues associated with each stage. We use biotech and pharmaceutical case studies to practice new skills and gain an in-depth understanding of project management issues.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

  • How to scope a project and write a Project Charter
  • How to determine the critical path of a project
  • How to use scheduling tools such as MS Project
  • How to identify risk in a biotech project.
